Let’s rodeo with Poway Rodeo Queen, Ashley Rae
Taylor! Ashley is a 20 year old,
local cowgirl who can always be found near a horse arena.
She currently ranks #1 in the California American Paint Horse circuit in
Amateur Reining and also competes in Working Cow Horse.
She loves the sport of rodeo and the opportunity to work with cowboys and
cowgirls who work hard with the rodeo stock to put on a show for the community. Ashley is a certified EMT and attends Grossmont College preparing for a
degree in nursing at SDSU. Ashley
is grateful for the encouragement from her family, trainer, Roslyn Proffer and
the Poway Rodeo Committee. Ashley’s
enthusiasm for Poway’s Rodeo is contagious, and she hopes to infect the
community with a Cowboy Up attitude! Ashley
wishes all the Poway Rodeo contestants the best of luck for a great ride and
plans to meet and great everyone during all of Poway’s Heritage Days and Rodeo

Carli Smith is the 2005 Poway Rodeo Junior Queen.
She is 15 years old and a sophomore at Poway High School who has selected
Dermatology as a future career choice. Carli
has a Quarter horse named “Gigi” and an Arabian horse, “Neon”.
She began riding at a young age and her horses are her passion. Carli Smith exudes the honor of being the 2005 Poway
Rodeo Junior Queen and is looking forward to this year’s Poway Rodeo!
