They ride under cover of night from the far corners of the county. Shiftless and hovering at one end of the saloon you’ll find them, their instruments steadied like Winchesters, taking aim until the first chord is struck. They cover songs dragged from earth, heaven and hell, scorching the atmosphere with a ferocity not learned at a mother’s knee. The flush of enthusiasm felt by those who bear witness does not quickly pass, as they are San Diego’s Most Wanted Country Band.
