How To Get To The Poway Rodeo

The Poway Rodeo is held at the Poway Valley Riders Association’s grounds in Poway, CA., 14336 Tierra Bonita Rd. Poway, Ca. 92064. Poway is located north of San Diego and South East of Escondido to the east of Interstate 15 in southern California.

Getting to Poway Rodeo from the north coast (Los Angeles, Orange County): Go south on Interstate 5 to Oceanside. In Oceanside take 78 east to Interstate 15 in Escondido, then south on Interstate 15 past Lake Hodges to Camino Del Norte. Go east (left, under the bridge) on Camino Del Norte approximately 4 miles to Tierra Bonita Rd. Along the way, Camino Del Norte becomes Twin Peaks Road. At Tierra Bonita there is a traffic light. At Terra Bonita turn right and drive approximately 1/4 mile to the entrance to the rodeo is on the right.

Getting to Poway Rodeo from the north inland (Riverside, Temecula, Escondido): Go south on Interstate 15 past Lake Hodges to Camino Del Norte. Go east (left, under the bridge) on Camino Del Norte approximately 4 miles to Tierra Bonita Rd. Along the way, Camino Del Norte becomes Twin Peaks Road. At Tierra Bonita there is a traffic light. At Terra Bonita turn right and drive approximately 1/4 mile to the entrance to the rodeo is on the right.

To get to Poway Rodeo from the south (San Diego, National City): Go north on Interstate 15 past Poway Road to Route 56, Ted Williams, and go east (right). Turn right at Twin Peaks Road (Beware of the “No Right Turn on Red” sign) and drive to Tierra Bonita Rd. At Tierra Bonita there is a traffic light. At Terra Bonita turn right and drive approximately 1/4 mile to the entrance to rodeo on the right.

To get to the Poway Rodeo from the east (Arizona, El Centro, Alpine): Go west in Interstate 8 to Lake Jennings Park Road. Go north (and then west) until Highway 67. Turn right (north) on Highway 67 and drive approximately 7 miles to Poway Road. Turn left on Poway Road and drive almost down the hill to Espola Road (there is a traffic light). Turn right on Espola Road. Drive down the hill to Twin Peaks Road (another light) and turn left. Drive to Tierra Bonita Road (another light) turn left and drive approximately 1/4 mile to the entrance to the rodeo on the right.
