In 2011, there were 5 bands competing for the title with over 400 people in attendance ! Who will be voted best band in 2012 ? The Phil Diiorio Band was declared the winner in 2011 and will be back in 2012 to defend their title !
If your band or group loves to perform and would like to battle with other bands on an open air stage, while competing for cash and bragging rights, then this is the event for you !

This year we are adding some Casino action during the evening with Blackjack, Poker & Roulette ! We are bringing back the mechanical bull contest and other fun events. We also will be offering some delicious foods as well as a beer and wine garden.
Tickets are only $5.00 each for a full evening of great music, great food and great fun for all ages!

Phil Diiorio Band– WINNER 2011
Phil Diiorio relocated from the East Coast in 2006 and jumped into the local music scene with both feet, jumping into local blues jams. Standing apart from the average with his amazing vocal range and fine guitar rifts, he was quickly invited to share the stage as a lead player with several bands. Phil’s Beale Street Band competed in the International Blues Competition in Memphis, placing in the top four.
Bassist Jodie Hill, graduate of Juilliard School of Music, has keenly evolved from the diverse music scene of New York City; now in California to add her unique style to the band. Bobby “Whiteshoes” Bowley, seasoned percussionist, also recently inducted into the Arizona Blues Hall of Fame, ties the knot with his tight, perfect dynamics and timbered beats to bring together the funky-soul groove to this R&B trio.
When Sidewinder burst into the country music scene in 1994 with their infectious power-house style, country audiences and clubs alike took a quick notice of this dynamic five-piece band from Santee, CA. Their turbo-charged, free-flowing, take-no-prisoners rock beat combined with Karen’s exploding vocals have given them that extremity needed to shake up a good concert.
Gin Piston is a hard driving, butt kicking, five piece Rock & Roll Band from Southern California. Mixing their high octane originals with classic covers, Gin Piston invites you to dance your tailbone off……and Rock Irresponsibly!
Sleepless Pacific is an alternative rock band with musicians James Bishop, Esteban Cervantes, Taylor Eldreth, and Robin Morris–four Poway teens who came together through their passion for music. Since their start a year ago, they’ve been lucky enough to play all over San Diego county. Playing at the Poway Days Battle of the Bands is an amazing opportunity for them, and they are grateful to everyone involved, especially their incredible fans. Sleepless Pacific plans to continue playing and performing for as long they can.
